another pevensie post. peter always acted as the voice of reason among the kids and i feel like he was one of those all american types (despite being british). he was wicked smart and eventually was crowned king peter the magnificent. magnificent might be a stretch, but who am i to judge?

in an homage to tim burton’s announcement, i give you the prince from sleeping beauty. most of us know the story from the walt disney version, prince phillip vanquishes maleficent to save princess aurora. the original however, isn’t quite the same. prince phillip is actually prince john, maleficent is actually his ogress mother and aurora has children. most of the details are laid out here in the original sleeping beauty post. anyway, i hope you enjoy prince john from sleeping beauty.

on the tenth day of christmas my true love gave to me, ten lords-a-leaping. as we draw nearer to the holidays i can’t help but reflect on how they have changed over the years. once upon a time it was all about lego castles and basically all about me. now that i’m older it’s obvious that it isn’t as important as it once was and is more a time for rest and family visiting. these days when i think of christmas it’s very nostalgic, ski lodges, spiced wine, butter rum, goose dinners and lots and lots of peppermint flavoring. so for the ten lords of leaping i drew a lot of inspiration from those olden times when skis were wood, people put candles on trees and strung popcorn garland instead of tinsel. happy holidays everybody!
