do you enjoy blanketing far away lands in an endless winter? are you curiously aligning with dogs and against cats? do you turn people to stone with your creepy scepter? well…if you’ve answered yes to all these, you’d probably get along with the white witch. she’s quite a nasty ho and until the pevensie kids came along to destroy her reign there wasn’t much anybody had done about it. gotta hand it to her though, there’s something so badass about keeping narnia in a frozen haze.  brrrr.

the lion, the witch and the wardrobe was one of my favorite books when i was a kid. the book (and the rest of the series) take place in narnia, which lucy pevensie found through a wardrobe one day while playing hide and seek. when lucy and her siblings first stumble upon it, narnia is at the mercy of the white witch who keeps it in an endless winter. unfair. for lucy’s part, she (with her sister susan) help aslan revive an army of the white witch’s victims.  after the big battle, she heals the fallen soldiers in asland’s army and is eventually crowned lucy the valiant.  there’s more to it than that but basically, she’s awesome. more pevensies and narnians headed your way…just saying.1: first visit to narnia: coat by chanel, dress by marc jacobs, boots by michael kors2: team aslan: dress by tsumori chisato, boots by balmain3: queen lucy the valiant: dress by mary katrantzou, shoes by rachel roy
p.s. it’s tumblr tuesday, if you’re in the mood go ahead and recommend textbook for the directory. if not, you have a lovely day.All images from Style.com.

the lion the witch and the wardrobe was probably one of the first books that i actually enjoyed, a rare feat in my childhood.  i loved all the characters but the most memorable was definitely the white witch.  who could forget the villain that blanketed narnia in a seemingly endless winter?  badass.  she’s the epitome of ice queen and definitely was an artist at exacting revenge.  her style would definitely be severe to show her power and personality.  also, i’d imagine she’d wear all white to blend in with her beloved winter.  so beware, if you’re schlepping through narnia and some crazy woman on a sled offers you turkish delight, scream stranger danger and head for the hills.  1: ugh, asland, ugh: dress and scarf by maison martin margiela, tights and shoes by rodarte2: welcome to my ice castle, i am crazy: dress and shoes by givenchy, gloves by lanvin, headpiece by karl lagerfeld3: i hate cats: dress by elie saab haute couture, headpiece by givenchy, shoes by christian dior
