the great gatsby is one of my favorite books of all time, right up there with catcher in the rye. it’s basically required reading for any american high school student and it chronicles the lives of a wealthy social circuit as seen through the eyes of nick carraway. mr. gatsby is a very well off resident of west egg and nobody knows very much about him. he’s a mysterious character with a secret love for daisy buchanan whom he fell in love with years before. the novel tells the story of their affair dotted with scenes of the rich and glamorous. however mysterious he is, there is no denying that jay gatsby is a well moneyed american royal type.

thoughts: paul smith is very hot and cold for me, there are times where i could buy everything in his shop and there are other times where i hate it all. though i probably won’t buy any of these fall 10 pieces i do enjoy them particularly the suiting and outerwear. i think that electric blue overcoat is pretty amazing and could do a lot for somebody even outside of a sharp suit. the plum suit is on point too and of course, i love the plaid jacket. well done sir paul smith.
