Carven is a real tough fit for me but I would “fuck with this”. Sort of like a reverse Junya fair-isle thing but also not.
I’ve seen this around a few times and tried it on today. It is nice and I want it. It’s definitely on the expensive side at $1200 and there’s no way I’ll be able to afford it but it would be great for all my urban hunting excursions in Nolita.
Here’s more crap that I want:
As usual, Burberry was a tour de force in outerwear. Then again, that’s what fall shows are really about. The most memorable pieces were definitely the technicolor dream coats that started off the show. This group was patent and bold, a nice change to the often muted outerwear pieces that tend to dull an entire look down. After the vibrant pieces came a more subtle and traditional mix of toggles, brown plaid and shearling—much more approachable for the conservative customer. To top the show off there were details of cow print and a finale of rain and clear hooded slickers. It was a more light-hearted show than we’re used to seeing from Mr. Bailey, perhaps a nod to the slowly recovering economy. It never hurts to see a little optimism on the runway.

what a surprise, burberry s/s ‘11 was all about the outerwear. no big deal, i know some people are over the whole motorcycle jacket thing but i wear mine in the fall, in the winter and in the spring. sometimes i turn the ac on in my apartment so i can wear it during the summer too. kidding. maybe.
anyway, i can’t say i’m down with all the leather pants on the runway and i have a thing against short sleeve sweaters but i would definitely consider adding one of these moto jackets to the wardrobe.

trussardi 1911 a/w 2010
thoughts: whoa nelly, love this stuff. i have to say i’ve never really payed much attention to trussardi but this collection really peaked my interest. the understated fring shown in look 1 is pretty boss and would be a nice pick me up to some more drab clothes. not really a fan of the sneakers in 2 and 3 but i love the coat, shirt and tie. but the coat with the detailing on the wrists is freaking incredible. the outerwear coming out of milan is truly outrageously awesome and i’m seeing fur collars pretty much everywhere. at this point the trussardi coat is at the number 1 spot.
