ELIZA, MY FAIR LADY

Everybody knows the story of My Fair Lady. Two bored aristocrats happen upon a girl who might be a little down on her luck but because of the grit of the street they can’t see how pretty she is. They decide to take her under their wing as some kind of game or sport. A few scenes later they throw her in a nice dress and suddenly they fall in love because she’s beautiful. Rags to riches, blah blah blah. Maybe that was a little harsh, but that’s the basic story. Let’s watch Eliza’s transformation through the story, shall we?

PAMELA ISLEY A.K.A. POISON IVY

Quite suprisingly, I got a lot of requests for Poison Ivy. Anyway, here she is…the Venus Flytrap of Gotham City and general hobag! Many of you will know that she was once a friendly scientist but was then transformed into Uma Thurman to wreak havoc on the poor citizens of Gotham. Luckily for us, Batman, Robin and Alicia Silverstone (for some generations) were there to save the day. Although, has me thinking Poison Ivy had it right all along. Oh well.

Athena, Goddess of War
Editor’s Note: Hi! So from now on, my images will be hosted somewhere else outside of Tumblr. That means to actually see the post you’ll have to click through the dash. Annoying, I know but now the images are much higher resolution…totally worth the extra effort. I like you.

Let’s get back to they Olympians, shall we? This is Athena, she could kick your ass and spout the periodic table of elements while doing it. She is most commonly recognized as the goddess of war and wisdom but she was also the goddess of civilization, crafts, strength, strategy and the heroic endeavors. Most of us probably remember her from our high school lit classes and her travels with Odysseus. I love the fact that she has a library card but can wage a war like no other. Awesome.

my video from the oscar de la renta spring 2011 show. it was everything you’d expect from mr. de la renta-feminine, charming and graceful. it kind of made me want to dance and when i got home i definitely did a little jig in the elevator.
editor’s note: i sprinted up park ave. to see this show and arrived a sweaty mess, AND I’D DO IT AGAIN.
a lot of people assume i’m the type to enjoy revenge. i’m not gonna comment on that, but i will tell you a love a good tale of revenge, such as the count of monte cristo. the short version is—edmond dantes is betrayed by his best friend count fernand mondego, spends some time in a crap prison, makes some friends, finds some treasure and hatches a revenge scheme to end all revenge schemes. aside from sending edmond to prison, fernand also married his fiance mercedes. mercedes loved edmond and married fernand to protect her unborn child and is swept up in a world of money and status. naturally, part of edmond’s quest is to get back at mercedes for her running off with fernand but he eventually realizes he still loves her yada yada yada. it’s quite the confusing little story, but it’s so damn good. readddd itt.
