PIPPI LONGSTOCKING

Pippi Longstocking has a pretty sweet life—super human strength and a house all to herself. She also seemed to have endless adventures, which can’t surprise anybody because she’s a character in a children’s story. I bet she dressed like a crazy person though…which pretty much means she dressed really f’ing awesome.

GALADRIEL, LORD OF THE RINGS

If you follow my tweets, you’ll know that I have a mild obsession with Lord of the Rings…just when you thought I was cool. Anyway, I took a stab at Galadriel the queen of Lothlorien. She’s been around Middle Earth forever and was given one of the original rings way back in the day. She wasn’t a major character in the story but she was certainly a wise one. Anyway, elves were supposed to be the most beautiful beings in the universe so I bet she could wear clothes like nobody’s business.

SALLY FROM HALLOWEEN TOWN

Happy Halloween tumblr friends. In the spirit of the holiday, I took a stab at styling Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. If I know tumblr like I think I do, you all know the story very well. Also, the first dress is scary similar to what Sally wears in the movie.
Hope you all have fun tonight, I’m on candy duty at Casa Jannuzzi…mmm candy.

as mentioned earlier, this is christina from christina’s world. i’ve always been a fan of this painting because it makes me want to run around in a big old field. my grandparents used to keep a farm upstate with lots of space similar to this, there were toboggans in the winter and plenty of field frolicking in the spring and summer. christina probably isn’t the type to care too much about what she wears, she just needs it to be simple for hanging around the farm. think pastoral, think ralph lauren easy breezy dressing…a country hipster if you will…
