PRINCESS LEIA, STAR WARS

Hey look! It’s everybody’s favorite galactic princess and it’s not Sailor Moon, Moon Kingdom be damned. Princess Leia was pretty badass. She’s the daughter of Darth Vader and Queen Amidala, princess of Alderaan and she helped the rebels fight the empire…good for her. Obviously, any princess who manages to battle enemies across the universe would have some killer style.

PROFESSOR TRELAWNY, HARRY POTTER WEEK

Good Tuesday morning to you all. I hope you’re enjoying your week thus far as we continue to celebrate the fast approaching release of Deathly Hallows. Good god, I was in the seventh grade when the first book came out and now at nearly 25, I can’t contain my excitement. Yesterday, I received quite a few requests for Professor Trelawny…so, like…here she is. Professor Trelawny is the perfect representation of that oddball teacher that we’ve all had before—a little eccentric, endearingly enthusiastic and somewhat mad. Naturally, eccentric enthusiastic madness means awesome clothes. Enjoy.

looks like marni is the jack spade of italy. basically, it’s awesome. i’d do well with pretty much anything they had in spring ‘11…although slightly hesitant about the soles of them shoes. the yellow backpack is pretty killer, as is the anorak and the dipped pants/shorts.
1: marni s/s ‘11: aka jannuzziwear
fairly certain that model is also a vampire.

everybody loves matilda. it’s a great story and probably all children in america have read the book. also, who wouldn’t want her awesome super powers? for those of you who need a refresh, matilda was a young girl who loved books. as soon as she was able, she read everything possible in the library-partly to learn and partly as an escape from her wretched family. eventually, she went to school where she met the encouraging ms. honey and the dreaded trunchbull. as you might expect, many adventures ensued mostly involving freeing the school of the trunchbull’s tyrannous reign via matilda’s ability to move objects with her mind. all ends well and matilda ends up finding a loving mother in ms. honey. given her exceptional intelligence i think if matilda were older, she’d rock that tweed/collegiate/librarian look pretty well.

wendy moira angela darling is the most ridiculous name in the world, it’s so long. nevertheless, several people requested a wendy post. to be fair, i thought it was an awesome idea so props to you kids. everybody pretty much knows the deal with wendy. long story short - she flies to neverland, hangs out, decides to be a grown up and goes home. however in the end, she finds herself wondering if peter will ever return. sad trombone.
