Great piece on NOWNESS about Karl Lagerfeld. Also, a pretty accurate representation of how fashion media happens.
one of the things i love most about stories is how we see the transition and growth of a character. inevitably they are version 1.0 at chapter one and some other version at the end of the story. otherwise, you’re reading or watching a crap story. one of the great things about film is that we see the transition happen, sometimes it’s long and drawn out but more often than not we see it happen fast. think ty from clueless (rip brittany murphy), the girls in the house bunny and of course sandy from grease. she started off the shy girl from the outback who spent the summer with danny zukko and became a cigarette stomping, heel wearing, leather decked amusement park razing biker chick. props to you sandy. props.

the lion the witch and the wardrobe was probably one of the first books that i actually enjoyed, a rare feat in my childhood. i loved all the characters but the most memorable was definitely the white witch. who could forget the villain that blanketed narnia in a seemingly endless winter? badass. she’s the epitome of ice queen and definitely was an artist at exacting revenge. her style would definitely be severe to show her power and personality. also, i’d imagine she’d wear all white to blend in with her beloved winter. so beware, if you’re schlepping through narnia and some crazy woman on a sled offers you turkish delight, scream stranger danger and head for the hills.
