CARE PACKAGE FROM THREADLESS
A couple weeks ago I got a package from Threadless. I’ve been a fan of Threadless for some time, they basically give anybody the chance to have their design produced on a t-shirt. Users upload designs, the community votes and the winners get a chunk of cash and bragging rights. They recently launched a line called “Threadless Select” that are community designs produced on higher quality fabrics and chosen by their staff.
I copped the above, for some reason it reminded me of The Goonies and I couldn’t resist. It’s nice and soft, good for layering and definitely a little more fitted than their traditional pieces. The t’s run at $35.00 each, take a look. Be sure to set up your own profile too, if your design gets voted by the community and printed you get $2000.00 and a $500 gift card…WOOT.

a little off topic but wanted to share my valentine card submission for kate spade new york’s open call…you make me feel like dancin’
this dance is achievable, believe me i practiced. when the foot is two colors it just means to tap.
calling all graphic designers. kate spade new york has begun their e-valentine design contest. it’s a great campaign and everybody loves it. also this year, you’ll be able to purchase some of last year’s designs on printed cards in store. fun.

to celebrate the fun of making and exchanging valentines, this february 14th, 2010, kate spade new york plans to show an online gallery of valentines by our favorite designers and artists. (you may remember last year’s collection. to view click: http://www.katespade.info/?section=bmine
we invite you to join in again, or for the first time, and “b ours” by creating a valentine. the valentines will be displayed for the month of february, where guests to the site can send them as e-cards. if your submission is chosen, we will credit your valentine with your name and a link to your website.
things to remember:
**valentines must be received by SUNDAY, JANUARY 31st. please list credit information, including full name and weblink, if applicable. valentines must be submitted in a digital format (tif, jpg, animated gif, flash animation, quicktime video).
**please note that valentines do NOT need not be created digitally, they just need to be documented digitally. collaboration is never discouraged.
