WAY TO GO TUMBLR, YOU POSTED MY IMAGE FROM SOME TUESDAY AGO…HEY, IT’S SUNDAY. GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER.
oh look, it’s arwen from lord of the rings! how joyful a morning this is. last night i had a rather involved conversation with a friend about which region of middle earth would have the best fashion week. the choices we came up with were the shire, gondor, mordor, rivendell and edoras. so naturally when i woke up this morning i figured i’d post on arwen. for those who aren’t familiar with the series, arwen is an elven princess. elves are the most beautiful beings in middle earth, appropriately played by liv tyler, cate blanchett and orlando bloom in the peter jackson movies. she plays a big role in the destruction of the ring and salvation of middle earth and all ends well for her when she marries aragorn and becomes queen of gondor. that’s the short version, read the book.

Aphrodite, Goddess of Love

So here we have Aphrodite. There’s not really much to say about her, very self explanatory. She’s the Olympian goddess of love, beauty and sexuality. Whenever you feel that little twang at your heart or…um, elsewhere…that’s her. Well, that is if you worship the Olympian gods and if you do that’s totally fine.

BEHOLD, it’s Artemis time. Like all the Olympian gods, Aretmis was pretty kick ass. The Greeks worshiped her most commonly as the goddess of the hunt, but she was also the patroness of young girls, disease, wild animals, wilderness and virginity. Artemis’ attributes are what you might expect from any leading Olympian goddess, a chariot drawn by gold antlered deer, a bow and arrow, some fishing supplies and of course a lyre. Give it up for Artemis. Now that I’m on this Olympian kick I might just have to do all 12 of the majors. Hmmmm…
