just shot this on our rooftop, we live several blocks north of ground zero. every year when these beams go up it takes me straight back to 2001. i was sitting in my ap u.s. history class and was only a junior in high school and the principal came on the loudspeaker to tell the school…i remember how the news got exponentially worse as he spoke and as the day went on. i was in math class when the towers fell, the entire school was watching on every television. somewhere along the line my art teacher turned off the tv in disbelief…never forget.
