maleficent is the most badass disney villain there ever was, and probably the most badass there ever will be. after all, she curses the princess to die, lives in a crazy castle with a goblin army and oh, she can also turn into a dragon. despite being so busy, she manages to pull everything off with a certain evil charm…good for her, a modern woman. were she shopping around barneys, i’m willing to bet she’d be drawn towards some lanvin and definitely some balmain…enjoy.

i had a few requests come through for violet baudelaire from a series of unfortunate events. glad i did, because all the baudelaire children are pretty awesome, maybe i’ll do klaus soon. anyways, all the baudelaire kids have special talents…in the case of violet she could invent anything and essentially solve any problem, awesome. her parents were adventurers so you can imagine that she grew up in a fun household and was quite the interesting character. of course, the stories details the kid’s battle with the evil count olaf who will stop at nothing to get at their orphaned inheritance. i recommend.

this is a re-style of my first queen victoria, which i decided i’d punch it up a bit. enjoy.
when i think of queen victoria the word that comes to mind is dignified. perhaps it’s just because of the imagery i’ve seen of her, who could forget that statue where she’s enthroned and looking out into the distance? it’s a pretty powerful image and you can tell that she means business. my favorite of her accomplishments (along with her husband albert) was the crystal palace exhibition where the world showcased technology and culture. to me it seemed one of those pivotal moments in history where everybody realized the future is going to come barreling towards us and we’ll be charging right at it. of course she today would walk that fine line between dowdy and dignified (a feat not accomplished by some of her contemporaries).
