Anonymous: How do you get to attend these fashion shows? I mean, I know your work involves PR and management or something, but how does that translate into being allowed backstage? (Not bitchy, just curious)
Well, since you’re curious and not bitchy. I’ve worked in the industry for a a bit so I’ve made a lot of friends that are very kind to let me into something like that. Also, I request access to some shows which is a pretty common thing for anybody. This past fashion week most of my access was arranged by the Tumblr crew. Most of the shows I attend are not on behalf of my job but on behalf of things like Textbook and relationships I have outside of the office. However, if you’re looking for a job that will allow you to attend fashion shows…you’d best get into editorial, buying or styling. Easier said then done, but that’s your best bet.
