burberry prorsum a/w 2010

i do love seeing runway shows live, but viewing them in real time from my bedroom in my pajamas is pretty incredible. so thanks to burberry for streaming their a/w 2010 live today.

thoughts: i was helpless against this show and i won’t deny it. heavy military inspiration, lots of epaulets and understated detailing on the separates. obviously the statement was in the outerwear which is no surprise. would definitely be interested in picking up some of these pieces come fall. in terms of the bomber jackets, the exaggerated collar isn’t really my thing but i can appreciate the design sensibility and i dig the reversal of leather and fur. my only quips would be that the pants are a little to slim cut for my taste and i’m not really a huge fan of those ‘boots with the furrr’ but i love the brown boots in looks 1 and 3 above. pretty sure i’ll grab that coat in look 1 if i can be disciplined enough.
who i see in this: sherlock, robinson crusoe (were he not stranded in the tropics), maybe robespierre (some silhouettes were quite severe)
