cruella de vil is one of my all time favorite villains.  not so much for what she does (i can’t condone skinning 101 dalmation puppies for a coat) but because of the way she carried herself.  i feel like it comes through much better with glenn close’s rendition than in the cartoon.  she’s pretty hilarious and always made me laugh.  heartless to the core, she would stop at nothing to get what she wanted.  no matter how you slice it, that is an admirable quality.  and of course, being the head of her own fashion house “house of de vil” is just icing on the cake.  when it comes to her style there are obvious characteristics, exaggeration, fur and intimidation.  as such, the fall 09 collections were an obvious bet, cold and dour.
