briseis began as a trophy to achilles in the iliad. after having lost her brothers and her husband in the trojan war at the hands of achilles, she became his prisoner (more or less). as the epic continues she is passed between achilles and agamemnon before finally being returned to achilles who has fallen in love with her. well, we all know how the trojan war ends for achilles and troy. too bad so sad. anyway, when thinking of her wardrobe i leaned towards the cliche of grecian/trojan dressing. lots of flowing fabric, drapery and ease, everything comfortable.
