j. edgar hoover is one of the funniest people in history.  holding a position as esteemed as his (first director of the fbi) he was sure to be a button up, smart and outwardly conservative individual.  many attest that he was and conducted himself as a high ranking official should.  however, it is often speculated that he had a much more liberal side, particularly when it comes to dressing.  one witness recounted him in a, “fluffy black dress with flounces and lace, stockings, high heels and a black curly wig.”  clearly he is a great canidate for textbook, as are all those who lead double lives.  oh j. edgar hoover, if you were alive today i wonder what you would think of the current state of the world.
