there are too many things that I want to do...every single day! Some nights I wake at 2 am to get started. How do you focus on just one thing in this ice cream parlor of life? san choo...as the beautiful grandmother at the donut shop in my neighborhood says, instead of thank you. san choo! patikaat
focus on more than one thing, otherwise you’re doomed to be very boring. san choo.
I know you've already done Bellatrix and Fleur, but I was wondering if you could do Luna? I'm thinking about being her for Halloween this year and I would love to see what you come up with because you great style sense.
next week you’ll see plenty of harry potter posts, not to worry. had no idea all my followers were so into hp, but i’m glad they are.
“Let me tell you something about Tom Riddle. We were teacher and student in middle school. I know, right? It’s so embarrassing. I don’t even… whatever. So then in eighth grade, I started going out with my first enemy Grindelwald, who was totally gorgeous. But then I had to defeat him, and Tom was like, weirdly jealous of him. Like, if I would blow him off to duel with Grindelwald, he’d be like “Why didn’t you fight me back?”. And I’d be like “Why are you so obsessed with me?”. So then, for my birthday party, which was an all-Muggle sympathisers pool party, I was like “Tom, I can’t invite you because I think you’re Lord Voldemort “. I mean, I couldn’t have a Dark Lord at my party. There were gonna be people there in their muggle clothes. I mean, right? He was the Dark Lord. So then his mom called my mom and started yelling at her, it was so retarded. And then he dropped out of society because no one would talk to his disembodied soul, and he came back in the fall for the second Wizarding War, all of his hair was cut off and he was totally weird, and now I guess he’s got Horcruxes.”—
First of all, LOVE your blog. What advice would you give a recent college grad who's done a few fashion internships and is looking into working in the fashion industry? Basically how to secure your first entry-level job? Any mistakes you made, suggestions or just tips to staying positive?
move to the city if you can even if it means taking a shit job in a restaurant or bar or something. it will be really tough to get a job straight out of college, i wouldn’t rule out doing more internships. staying positive is key, i hit plenty of dead end interviews and false leads along the way but as long as you have that whole “f that, on to the next” mentality you’ll be a-ok. good luck.
Since it seems like question day for you, I'd like to ask if you've read any of Ayn Rand's books? Seeing some of the characters from The Fountainhead would be cool. Oh, and if you could do something related to Charles Bukowski, that would be so rad. Anyway, awesome blog. definitely a favorite.
thanks for the kind words. the fountainhead is on the to-do list. stay tuned.
Is this how I suggest a character?
I guess it really doesn't matter since you're getting it anyways, but once you get around to reading The Golden Compass/ His Dark Materials, Mrs. Coulter would be fun to dress up :)
good call. mrs. coulter has some serious potential.
